JAMAICA TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION 2021

Before traveling to Jamaica you will need to obtain a Jamaica Travel Authorization document. You do not need it to book your flight, however, you will need it to check in and to board the plane. 

Travel Authorization Application Process

The process for applying for a travel authorization from Jamaica includes:

Step 1 👉  First indicating whether or not you are a Jamaican resident. 

Step 2 👉  Then you are required to provide your email address. A password will then be sent to that email address within 3 minutes. 

Step 3 👉  This password can only be used once and needs to be inputted and verified in order to begin. 

Step 4 👉  You are then required to enter your travel information (passport information and where you will be staying in Jamaica) and answer a few health questions (whether or not you have been exposed to Covid). 

You will be notified via email if your travel authorization request is approved within 5 minutes of submitting.

Jamaican nationals and non-nationals who reside in Jamaica because of marriage or through a work permit, can apply for a travel authorization here: https://jamcovid19.moh.gov.jm/immigration.html  and non-residents apply here: https://travelauth.visitjamaica.com . You should apply for travel authorization within 7 days of traveling.

Negative Covid 19 Test 

Before boarding a flight to Jamaica you will also need to provide proof of a negative Covid 19 test (PCR, NAA, RNA) or an Antigen test. These tests must have been done within 3 days of your date of travel and at a lab that is accredited. This is required for everyone 12 and over.
